Darlene’s hands are blessed by God! She found kinks I didn’t know I had problems with and she got rid of the kinks. She was attentive to my needs and she fulfilled everything I asked for and more. It’s been awhile since I bragged about a massage. I am so elated that I booked my next one already. Her place is quiet and perfect for the massage ambience. Book her!!!
The Resting Spa and Massage is two different businesses at one location. Darlene provides different kinds of massage therapy services. This review is about the massage services I have received from her over the last several months. (I cannot comment on the other spa services.) Consequently, my 5 stars only applies to Darlene and her massage services. First, Darlene is very professional. She is very clear and upfront about her fees, and she demonstrates a high level of integrity. I felt very safe with her. The first time I came, she had me complete a form that provided her important information about me and my health. Second, she is very personable, is easy to talk to, and has strong hands. She listened to my concerns. She asked what I was hoping to gain from the massage. She discussed my options, and together we decided on the best massage services to meet my needs. I typically go for the 90-minute deep tissue massage. Recently, however, I was in a serious bicycle accident that badly bruised my ribs. (Thankfully, I did not have any broken or fractured ribs.) After about 4 weeks, I contacted her because I was still in a lot of pain and was wondering whether she could do something to help. She told me about lymphatic massages. After learning more about them online, I decided to give it a try. After having two such massages in about two weeks, I can tell you that I am feeling much better! I still have soreness, but I no longer need pain medication. But I do have two caveats for you: 1) the massage area is somewhat small, and 2) Darlene is not always easy to contact. She is only available by appointment; that is, you can't just walk-in. That stated, I am completely comfortable in the massage space, and Darlene is always reasonably quick to respond to my text messages or phone calls. In short, neither of these two caveats are an issue for me, which is why I have no problem giving her 5 stars. I've tried many massage places, but she is one of the two best places I have used over the years. (The other is in Upland.)
